The stainless viewport retaining rings have arrived. I have had these laser cut in the UK. The finish is not quite as good as if I had machined them to size, but its certainly good enough. I thought the hatch retaining ring looked a bit odd when it arrived and upon checking the order, I realised I asked for ID 4.25 inch instead of 4.75. Stupid mistake which means I’ll have to machine the hole to the correct size. The rings could do with a polish as well and of course I have to drill all the holes. |
