There was a plastic cap that covered the threaded end of the hose, so i used that as the join as it was the correct size. I glued it to the mask, over the vent. Then i drilled two holes in the lugs used for tightening and bolted it through onto the inside of the mask. I maybe didnt need the bolts as it was solid with just the glue, but I wanted to be sure it wasnt going to drop to bits. I cut out the centre of the vent cap and clicked it back around the tube. A couple of cable ties around it for extra security. Last thing was to machine a piece of plastic with a taper on that fits to the other end of the pipe so i can push it into the end of the scrubber hose. Very simple and works well. |
