You can just see the scratch under the round altimeter. It wasnt too bad, but i wanted it out. I have dithered doing this job for ages as i wasnt sure what to do. Finally tackled it. Using loads of water, i sanded the entire lense with wet n’dry until the scratch was gone. Not just the area of the scratch, the entire lense so there wasnt a dip. I used the various grades gettig finer and finer. The important thing is to leep the lense cool so i used the hosepipe with a constant stream of water. It looks terrible to start with. |
